Yes, as the rain and the snow
come down from the heavens
and do not return
without watering the earth,
making it yield
and giving growth
to provide seed for the sower
and bread for the eating, so the
word that goes forth from my mouth
does not return to me empty,
without carrying out my will
and succeeding in what it was sent to do.

Isaiah 55:10-11

Easy access to Sacred Scripture should be   provided for all the Christian faithful…
As many ministers of the divine word as possible will be able effectively to provide the nourishment of the Scriptures for the people of God, to enlighten their minds, and set their hearts on fire with the love of God… The study of the sacred page is the very soul of sacred theology. –Vatican II: On Revelation 22-24

This course will equip participants to deepen their personal faith and their understanding of and love for the scriptures, and will give them the knowledge and the practical skills to work with scripture.

The course will also introduce the participants to the principles of Christian theology.  In doing theology, people of faith seek to understand the deep questions about God and about life. The course will provide a solid biblical foundation for this theological reflection.
