The emerging DBIL Library is Primarily Biblical...

The emerging DBI library is primarily biblical, with special emphasis on biblical research, and a particular interest in the classics.

BOOKS:

The library started in 2000 with two books:
• A facsimile of Codex Vaticanus
• "Great Women of The Bible in Art & Literature".
Through purchases and donations it now has 8,000 volumes and is working to wards building a larger collection when the library moves into the new building.

JOURNALS:

Since 2001 the library has been subscribing to over 100 journals, and has been building its collection of back issues.

REFERENCE:

The reference section is slowly expanding and was recently enhanced by the 15-volume "Encyclopedia of Religion". (A gift from Ursula King)

SPECIAL COLLECTIONS:

Among the stronger areas of the library is a special collection of travellers' accounts of journeying through the Holy Land. (A gift from Gerard Norton, OP). The library aims at building further special collections
